Little is known of Daine Forte's early life. Sometime in his childhood, Daine was taken in by Iskalloni slavers. Being raised by the Iskalloni robbed young Daine of any social development skills, thus leading to the absence of the empathetic ability that developed in all Zeltrons. By learning their surgical techniques, Daine was able to survive and adapt to the Iskalloni lifestyle.

At sometime the Mandalorians invaded Iskadrell. As a result, many slaves of the Iskalloni were taken into Mando'ade culture, including young Daine. Through Mandalorian medics, Daine learned of other species throughout the galaxy. He began to wonder what was inside the Jedi to give him this power.

The war prevented Daine from beginning his research, but with the death of his mentor and the Mandalorians suffering another humiliating defeat, Antos felt it was time to shed his armor and head for Republic space.

Daine immediately found a place in an Arkanian University. Daine's talents caused him to excel at the school, up until the day the Adasca family had the school purged of all "alien" students. Even after he was forced to leave, Daine was determined to finish what he started. Finding friends in unlikely places, Daine developed good relations with the Arkanian Offshoot community. Continuing his work with these brilliant students, Daine eventually made the discovery he was looking for: a small dna strain in the jedi blood stream which did not exist with species without the force. However, without proper research facilities, Daine could not study the DNA further.


Daine contacted his fellow Mandalorians, who desired revenge against the Jedi. With his comrades and a few volunteers to run his experiments to create Mandalorian Knights using Jeth's DNA. Daine's main goal was to create a vanguard for an eventual Mandalorian revolution. He modified infants in vitro, but to no success.

However, Daine's greed knew no bounds, and he had bargained with the Crucible slaving organization to obtain more offshoot families. The Crucible soon proved it was more greedy than he was. While Daine was away to report his success to Mandalore, the Crucible attacked the research facility using Skyreaper drones, kidnapping his students, ransacking his lab and killing his guards. When Daine's colleagues learned of his dealings with the Crucible, they wanted nothing more to do with him, feeling that the lost children had been truely theirs. Devastated by the loss of his students, the Zeltron searched the galaxy for the children, but to no avail. During his searches he came across the Mandalorians and decided to rejoin their cause and once again become Doctor Daine Forte

Nice backstory Charada, and pretty origonal as well never thought we'd have a doctor on the team but I suppose they're vital, I like the idea of testing species for "Force DNA" as well, I thought it'd be skirting the cannon but there are lots of species that are force resitant or have no connection to it, so their DNA seems like as good a place as any for a reason.
He sounds well balenced and aimiable here but your avatar makes him look completly pyshcopathic

Mind you, I think you are well aware I was a fan of "The Doctor" right from your initial ideas you were throwing me from our late-night ramblings

It makes sense that with all these characters so combat-hardened in the guild that we should have at least 1 person who knows how to put a blown off arm back on the right way round

I do like the way you've incorporated his "unusual personality" into the mix too

Allons-y! - Only kidding . That's an interesting take on DNA vs midichlorians, even though midichlorians were more a symbiote and indicator of Force potential (I think that's right?). Not quite sure where the canon lies on that...

But gratz on an interesting character background, which you've obviously put a great deal of thought into. I actually feel a little sorry for the chap, pushed from pillar to post and so very damaged!
