    The Idea:

    I've been discussing recently with L-Dubz about creating a short series of RPs that we can base over a period of 3 to 4 weeks (maybe more, maybe less). For a while now I've been interested in bringing up the backstory on how we became involved (or hired) with the Sith Empire as their underground operatives and ideally it's a story that I'd like to cover before TOR launches. The story in question will hopefully involve all of E.P.O.C.H's characters and with your help I'd like to bring your character's background into the story. What I mean by that is not every character is the same and myself and L-Dubz will need input on how your character is integrated. For example, Creed is a character who despises Republican politicians but has huge reservations about working for the Sith, whilst someone like Witya is loyal Imperial Agent to the Sith Empire. Even though quite a few of our characters are neutral they still must have opinions on the Mysterious Falleen's plans for the Agency to work covertly without the knowledge of the majority of the Sith Empire.

    As a guide I'd recommend reading my ideas on lore and classes.

    The RP Event:

    I'm actually debating trying something a little bit different this time around. Every week I'm planning on working with L-Dubz on creating a short mission and posting a debrief beforehand in the relevent section of the RP forums. In a way it'll be a mix between Play-byPost RP and Chat RP.

    The actual missions will take part once a week when everyone can agree on a time, and how long we spend on those missions is entirely up to you. I'm not entirely sure if combat should be included or not as basically the premise for the RP is to build up our lore just before TOR launches. It'll probably be a case of striking deals and getting to know each others characters rather than a hack n' slash. This is open to discussion though as some light-handed combat (i.e. Fistfights between Agents!) may occur.

    What we need from you:

    All we really need from you is time set aside for a bit of chat RP and to really express your characters personality as this will be part of the guild lore and timeline. It would be handy to know up front on how/what/who you intend your character to be in E.P.O.C.H so we can get a feeling of what kind of storylines to include.

    An example:

    Here's a quick example of how it may well work:

    Week 1: The Falleen and Aleina Fel meet to discuss a huge contract with Sith Imperial Intelligence.

    Week 2: Aleina meets with Force Adepts (Guild Members) at Odal Temple to train future employees.

    Week 3: Carryington arranges to meet with Intelligence Officers to discuss plans for a future contract.

    Week 4: Jylan meets with Bounty Hunters at the Poison Pit Cantina to discuss working together.

    These are just brief examples of course and they'll be more involved but as you can see it doesn't require too much effort to pop in start RPing.

    Excellent! Great plan! It's about time we got some real guild-related RP in there and this is just the ticket!

    On a side note, can I attend both week 2 and 4? Due to the wierd nature of Skursir still having a role in the guild (as Freelancer Commander), it might be worth having both him and Sharho in this roleplay?

    Oh and just to add that this will be right at the end of the timeline, literally just before TOR begins. I know a few of our chracters haven't met yet but if they're not already part of the Agency officially then this will be their entrance.

    Well it'll be leading up to TOR's release. I just need to sit down and work out a basic plot line with L-Dubz for each week, then you'll start noticing little introductions pop up that will start the story.

    For the first week it'll probably be just myself, L-Dubz, Soude and PJK but after that we'll start bringing in you guys. Smile

    Sorry to double post but those of you that have read Fatal Alliance will be happy to hear that I'm using some characters from the novel to make the RP more realistic. They won't appear as NPC's because I don't feel it's right to use Sean Williams work but if you're a fan of the book some familar names might appear. Smile
