Pre-Release Activity

This meeting will be a special meeting regarding this subject only.

Regarding my last rant I've decided that enoughs enough and this problem needs to be fixed once and for all. There are a few options I can think of to remove this problem but if you have anymore please leave a suggestion below.

Suggestions for improving the guild:

1.) Abolish the activity rules until the game is launched and become a casual guild. That means members aren't required to visit this or our new site for the monthly roll-call (although it is required that you join the new one). The downside to this is that we may loose a few more active members.

2.) Tighten up the activity and boot people that are inactive. The only problem with this being that we'll have less members. On the plus side it will weed out members who don't pull their weight.

3.) Send out regular warnings to members that are inactive and/or don't appear or post for months. The problem with this being that if they're inactive they won't pay attention anyway.

4.) Search for a guild to merge with. It would improve activity and membership count but as a result a few major changes will occur.

5.) Disbandon the guild. This is obviously the last resort but if we can't work as a team then it does add cause for concern.

Suggestions from Guild members:

Tando - Close this current site and make the move to new one official. Members that don't check in will soon realise that we've moved and sign up over there.

**IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ**

Please actually come to this meeting because whatever the outcome it will effect the guild. Members who don't attend or leave a reply will be noted.

I voted for May 9th for 2 reasons:

1. I'd like to see this resolved ASAP

2. I may not be able to see straight May 10th, 11th or 12th.

As for time? I'd recommend any time after 7pm (site time)

Righty-o. I'm thinking of making the time 9pm for the meeting to begin if thats ok with everyone? I know you can only make 10pm onwards Caryington but if you're ok with it, we'll start ahead of schedule and you can join us later.

Surely this is the only option. We've always been a small, tight-knit guild with a handful of quality, dedicated members and the likelihood is we will probably stay that way to release and beyond. I'm all for closing down this site and making the official move over to the new one to avoid any confusion and spread of members between sites (for example, I didn't see this thread until today when I checked this forum).

I think tightening our belts to get through this tough period is the way to go, and come release (or beta) when we can really start recruiting for the long haul, we will be better placed to suceed with the excellent core membership that we have.

Crazy suggestions like merging with another guild will only alienate the members that we have at the moment.
