| Right guys, as some of you may know I've had to remove one member (Aliendra) from the guild due to disruption. It's a shame because he was very active and a very good roleplayer. Just let this be a warning to people in future that if you're not going to stick to the rules, you're not fitting in or you deliberately try to be disruptive, then I will remove you from this guild. The way I see it is that we're going to be playing this game A LOT together and I need a guild that are going to get along and work well as a team. I've made the mistake in the past of keeping members on because they were quite valuable to the guild but their attitude just stank but make no mistake, it won't be happening again. Anyway I'd just like to clear things up about certain issues: Play-by-post RoleplayI think it's about time I made this crystal clear to people, but I'd like everyone to know that it ISN'T mandatory to roleplay in the forums. Play-by-post roleplay on this forum is an extra added bit of fun for people so that we can get to know your characters and your roleplaying style better. When the game is finally released though, expect this guild to be RPing at every possible chance that we get. We are a medium to heavy RP guild and if you're not prepared to take part in that, then I suggest you start looking for a new guild. Time RestrictionsOne thing I don't think I have made clear in the rules is about how active I like people to be. When I say HIGHLY ACTIVE I mean come on here at least once a week. I do understand that real life comes first and that this isn't always possible, which is why we have created an absences thread in the guild discussion section. Also on the subject of time restrictions, if people haven't been on in a while PLEASE don't send me PM's to let me know. I'm fully aware of who hasn't been on as much, but it makes my job so much harder when I have more important things to attend to. If people can't update the RP, or leave a comment on a subject then you simply cannot force them to. Most people have let me know why they can't be on for whatever reason and I would appreciate if everyone else did the same. On that note I woudl also like to apologise that I haven't been on as much lately. Work has really caught up with me and I am doing as best I can with the time given. I normally get anywhere between 5 - 15 private messages a day on here and if you add that to what I do over at swtor.com it really is a bit of a headache! I really can't wait for this 2nd officer! Bumping the Recruitment ThreadFrom now on I will be watching this more closely so I suggest members and recruits alike start posting in our threads on swtor.com. There's a direct link to the left of the screen so there really isn'y any excuse why you can't post in there to keep the thread bumped. I think thats all for the meantime, but I'm sorry to have to rant on but these things have to be adressed. Please read what I have said carefully as I really don't want to be removing anymore people from the guild. We've got a pretty good bunch here now and I'd like to keep it this way. _________________ |

| Gosh! I had wondered why today Ali's name was yellow, but at the time I was checking he still had 'Guild Member' written as his status. I thought maybe it meant he was on probation or something (again). Well it's his loss. I'm sure he'll come to regret the behaviour that led him to expulsion. Still, best of luck to him wherever he ends up. (And good rant, Boss! <--- I've been waiting ages for a chance to use that!) |

| I think all the comments the Chief have raised are valid, and I for one am happy for some of the clarification. Though most of the older members (by which I mean those whom have been registered for some time, not necc old codgers like me!) are aware of alot of what SS has said through experience here, it must be a good thing to read for new players who might find all the rules a little large to swallow in one lump.
We are a Med-Hvy RP Guild so even if people choose not to RP-POST, they really need to be aware that once the game hits, the OOC behaviour will be pretty minimal. I for one will still be coming back here often when not on SWTOR itself and intend to use this forum for most of my OOC chat and concerns.
Cheers for clearing the fog, Chief. |

| I'm a bit clueless to what Ali actually did (can someone fill me in?). Though I sensed that his rowdyness wasn't good news. As Redwatch said, a good rant, it has it's place here. And as a note, may I say that I am aware that this is an RP guild, and it is why I joined, I've just made the decision not the participate in a forum-post one, as I don't truthfully like the concept. This may change, but right now, I prefer in-game roleplay. _________________ |

| wow I'd best put my finger out lol, the only reason I've not had ago at the RP-posts is that I've never done that before and I don't want to mess it up but I am reading them (if that means much) and trying to learn. And like Harly said I prefer in-game roleplay too |

| I'd suggest sending BH a pm to see if the rp is still open to newcomers.
I don't want to presume to speak for Black Heart but the structure of his rp is such that it allows for newcomers to make their attempt on Meural's bounty at any given point. Rather than being disruptive it would be very much in keeping with the plot. He's the GM though so better to check with him first. |

Mr. Red is right about the structure of Run of the Chancellor is completely open to new players at anytime. And even though it's already started I hope that our posts only give characters a situation that is easily accessible for their characters. And no one has to check with me before joining the RP, if you feel like RPing and you have the time, I'd love for you to join. If, however, there is any information about a character or an NPC whose information can't be worked into the post--Name, race, sex, optional description (See Original Post)--I encourage people to PM me so I can put that information at the beginning of the thread.
P.S. To take it back on topic, great update, Chief. I think all of our new recruits are doing a great job so far. |
